Question: Will I be able to use an ISDET degree to get admission in another Bible Seminary
Answer: Generally a Seminary accepts degrees awarded by another standard-compliant seminary and therefore there is high probability that other seminaries will accept ISDET degrees. However, everyone needs to realize that the final decision to do so or not is theirs and others have no control over them. What is more, with thousands of seminaries around the world, there is practically no way in which anyone can know about the admission policies of all other seminaries.
Please join ISDET only of you are looking for quality theological education, free of tuition fees, and not if you have other considerations in mind. If you are looking for anything else, then kindly look for a seminary that can promise such things. We will make no claims related to admission in other institutions, jobs, and acceptance by liberal theological institutions. ‘Ask them about their policies’ is our stand because we cannot lay down policies for other institutions.
Question: Can I transfer ISDET credits to other academic institutions
Answer: We offer signed transcripts. As to whether another institution accepts or not is entirely up to them because they do not operate under our jurisdiction. Generally a Seminary accepts transcripts awarded by another standard-compliant seminary and therefore there is high probability that that other seminaries will accept ISDET transcripts. However, you need to keep in mind that, the final decision to do so or not is theirs and we have no control over them. ‘Ask them about their policies’ is our stand because we cannot lay down policies for other institutions.
Question: Do you accept credit-transfers
Answer: ISDET accepts credit transfers from most accredited and non accredited theological seminaries from around the world. The criterion is the quality of instruction offered by the seminary from where you wish to transfer credits. You can transfer up to half of the credits from another institution that are needed to complete a program at ISDET.
Question: Do you accept honorary degrees as qualification for admission to ISDET
Answer: We do not accept any kind of honorary degree as qualification for admission to ISDET programs. Only academically earned secular and theological degrees are accepted for admission. Nor does ISDET ever award any kind of honorary degree to anyone.
Question: How can I be sure whether you accept credits from a seminary where I studied before I join ISDET
Answer: Please send a query email to Webmaster@ISDET.Com before you apply. The office will inform you promptly whether the ISDET accepts credit-transfer from the Seminary or Bible College where you studied earlier.
